CT Scanner and Related Products & Services

The Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner (IOSME) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide a high-resolution Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner. The CT Scanner will be used to enhance diagnostic accuracy in determining the cause and manner of death, facilitate human identification, detect subtle or extensive injuries, and provide evidence for legal cases. The objectives of this project include determining the cause and manner of death, facilitating human identification, detecting subtle or extensive injuries, providing evidence for legal cases, and optimizing procedural efficiency. • The CT Scanner must be able to integrate with existing forensic workflows. • The CT Scanner must be able to produce standardized, high-quality, and repeatable digital evidence suitable for expert testimony and admissible in judicial proceedings. • The CT Scanner must be able to guide targeted dissections, potentially reducing the necessity for extensive invasive procedures while maintaining comprehensive investigative standards.
