Industry Day for USCG Waterfront Optimization, Coast Guard Yard, Curtis Bay MD

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is hosting an Industry Day to provide information about a future design-build procurement for the optimization of the waterfront infrastructure at the US Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, Maryland. The project involves the demolition and reconstruction of aging waterfront infrastructure, including piers and a wharf, to support the maintenance and repair of new Coast Guard cutters. The USACE is seeking feedback from industry representatives on the project's scope, schedule, and budget, and will use this information to inform the development of a future Request for Proposal (RFP). Key aspects of the project include: • Demolition and reconstruction of piers and a wharf • Associated infrastructure work, utility connections, and site restoration • Design-build procurement with a focus on "mission critical" factors and innovative betterments and enhancements within budget • Estimated construction cost: $100M to $250M • Construction completion expected by CY 2030
