Audit and Consultation Services for Managed Care Cost Containment of the County’s Workers’ Compensation Claims

The County of Orange is seeking a contractor to provide audit and consultation services for managed care cost containment of the County's workers' compensation claims. The contractor will be responsible for providing specialized audit and consultation services, including focused oversight of all managed care and cost containment programs, assessing the accuracy of billed charges, and evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the managed care services and cost containment programs. The contract will be for a term of five years, with the option for the County to utilize the selected firm on an ancillary basis for on-going consultative services in the Managed Care area. • The contractor must have at least five years of experience providing actuarial services to a California public entity. • The contractor must be located in the Los Angeles Metro area or be able to meet at least four times during the development of each actuarial report at the physical location of CEO/Risk Management with no more than a five-calendar-day notice. • The contractor must provide a detailed description of the process and a comprehensive timeline for accomplishing the services outlined in the scope of work. • The contractor must demonstrate successful prior performance of comparable services in the public sector arena and provide a minimum of five references, with three references from public sector entities and clients that are comparable to the County of Orange.
