Public Works East Yard Project

The City of Fontana is seeking qualified contractors to perform a comprehensive exterior improvement of the Public Works East Yard. The scope includes demolition of existing asphalt and concrete, removal of trees, site clearing, and construction of new concrete paving, CMU and combo walls, tube‑steel fencing with motorized rolling gates, electrical fixtures and conduit, and asphalt parking‑lot repairs and striping. The contract requires a California Class “A” contractor (and similarly licensed subcontractors), a 10 % bid bond, and 100 % performance and payment bonds, with a 5 % retainage on progress payments and liquidated damages of $1,500 per day for overruns.
