Northrup Auditorium Lighting Upgrade

The University of Minnesota is seeking a design services provider to upgrade the house lighting systems at Northrop Auditorium, a historic performance venue. The selected respondent will be responsible for evaluating existing lighting systems, developing replacement and/or upgrade solutions, and producing complete design and construction documentation. The project includes the front-of-house areas, main auditorium, and Best Buy Theater house lighting. The design team must consider energy efficiency, system longevity, and operational reliability in their proposed solutions. Key services include schematic design, design development, and construction documents. • The project requires a qualified, experienced, and licensed construction contractor for cost estimating services. • The design team must work with existing control systems and ensure compatibility with the building's current facilities requirements. • The university has assembled RFP documents, including the contract, general conditions, and building standards, for review by respondents. • The evaluation criteria include respondent team qualifications, project work plan, project schedule, and project fee. • The university reserves the right to shortlist respondents for further evaluation and interviews.
