Sale of Surplus Buses

Loudoun County Public Schools is requesting bids for the sale of surplus buses. The buses are being sold on an "as is, where is" basis, and the buyer will be responsible for removing the buses from the storage site. The buyer must also agree to scrap the buses in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Clean School Bus Rebates Program Guide. The buses can be viewed between November 10-11, 2025, by appointment only. • The buses are not in service and the components may be removed and sold. • The bus body must be crushed or cut up. • The transmission, tires, wheels, axles, and other drivetrain and suspension parts may be removed and sold as used parts. • The buyer must provide photographs of the destroyed vehicle bodies. • The buyer must agree to indemnify and hold harmless the seller from any and all claims or costs that may arise out of the sale or use of the property.
