Household Hazardous Waste Transportation & Disposal Service

The City of Omaha is seeking bids from qualified companies to provide Household Hazardous Waste Transportation & Disposal services. The contract will be for a period of two years, with an option to extend for an additional year. The successful bidder will be responsible for the removal and disposal of waste material collected at the City's UnderTheSink facility. The bidder must demonstrate experience in similar projects and provide a list of at least three references. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, irregularities, minor defects, or technical errors as may be deemed best for the interests of the City. Key aspects of the job include: • Packing and loading of waste material in the Contractor's transportation vehicles • Transportation of waste materials to EPA-permitted facilities • Incineration of mixed chlorinated solvents and fuel blending • Completion of all necessary paperwork and records, including a uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest • Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures
