The Department of the Air Force is seeking a contractor to replace an existing Trane Model CGAFC40 air cooled chiller at Building 7087 with a new Carrier AquaSnap Model 30RC030 chiller. The project aims to provide the required cooling load for the C5 Flight Simulator. The contractor will be required to procure and install the brand-name chiller, with the overarching objective of replacing one of the existing air cooled chillers. The period of performance is expected to be 210 calendar days, and the brand-name component represents approximately two thirds of the cost of the overall project.
• The contractor must verify compatibility to ensure all requirements of the Statement of Work and supporting documentation are met.
• The Department of the Air Force has issued a brand-name Class J&A that covers all DAF HVAC chiller installation-level purchases from 01 Oct 2024 through 30 Sept 2029.
• The DAF has determined that only the makes of the HVAC chiller identified will satisfy the agency's needs for additional units or replacement items.
• The use of Carrier Corp will save the Government duplicative training costs, improve mission effectiveness and reliability, and provide benefits to small business and competition.
