Cleaning Services - Downtown West Region

The Wake County Public School System is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services for routine and non-routine services at WCPSS facilities. The contract will be for a period of three years, with an option to extend for an additional two years. The contractor will be responsible for providing full-time custodial services, "day porter" or substitute custodian services, and extra services or specialty cleaning duties as approved by Custodial Services. The contractor must also provide a minimum of 4 hours for each assignment. The contractor will be paid on an hourly fee basis, with rates to be determined by the contractor. • The contractor must have experience in providing janitorial services to multi-site, public school buildings. • The contractor must have a written safety program and provide training to employees on industry-recognized cleaning practices. • The contractor must have a drug screening program and perform criminal background checks on all employees. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance and hold harmless the Wake County Board of Education for any liability that may arise from the contractor's employees or agents.
