Description
The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide a "turnkey" solution for climate control for six Military Working Dog (MWD) kennels at JBSA-Lackland. The contractor will be responsible for leasing, installing, operating, and maintaining a temporary HVAC system to ensure the kennels are kept within a temperature range of 45-85°F. The contractor will also be responsible for providing fuel and maintaining refueling services for the generators, as well as conducting regular maintenance and repairs. The contract has a period of performance of one base year (12 months) plus one option year (12 months), for a total of up to two years (24 months).
Some key points to consider include:
* The contractor must conduct surveys of the work scope before and after the project to verify that the work adheres to all HVAC industry standards, state and federal codes, and environmental requirements.
* The contractor must provide maintenance and servicing of generators, fuel, auxiliary tanks, HVAC units, and appurtenances.
* The contractor must ensure that all HVAC units and generators are maintained and operational in accordance with industry standards.
* The contractor must respond to emergency service calls within 2 hours, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
* The contractor must provide a Work Plan Narrative detailing their approach, prior to installation, for Government review.
* The contractor must remove and dispose of all debris from the jobsite daily and maintain the area around the equipment to promote a safe environment.
