Description

The City of Aurora is seeking a solar-powered mobile camera trailer to enhance situational awareness and security coverage across key retail areas. The trailer should include solar panels, a solar controller, a white single-axle trailer, and a minimum of 4 support legs. It should also have a motorized mast, equipment mounting box, and remotely accessible power monitoring system. The trailer will be used for temporary placement in high-traffic or high-risk areas, during events, or as part of targeted theft-prevention initiatives. The City requires a minimum of 5-year warranty on Axis cameras and a 1-year warranty on trailer components. The contract includes comprehensive training for relevant personnel, including operation of surveillance systems, maintenance of solar and backup power systems, and troubleshooting procedures. • The trailer should be fully assembled, provisioned, and ready for use. • The City requires a minimum of 6 rechargeable batteries and the ability to run on or charge via "shore power". • The trailer should have a red/blue strobe light kit with remote control. • The City requires 2 cellular modems (5G capable) with Wi-Fi. • The trailer should have a minimum of 2 network cables and 4 power cables wired through a spring cable from the chassis to the top of the mast. • The City requires a minimum of 20 Digital Watchdog Spectrum IPVMS licenses with training included. • The contract includes delivery and installation of the trailer, with up to 2 hours of onsite training for 6 employees.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this project is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the scope of work, which includes the provision of a solar-powered mobile camera trailer, comprehensive training, and a 5-year warranty on Axis cameras, a rough estimate for the budget could be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the trailer and its components will be of high quality and that the training and warranty will require significant resources. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the trailer's design, the number of cameras and other components required, and the level of training and support needed.
