Description
The City of Salina is soliciting sealed bids to repaint structural steel components on the 531‑ft North Ohio Street Bridge, which spans the K&O and Union Pacific rail lines. The work includes surface preparation and painting of fences, concrete barriers, and a total of 75 lighting fixtures (24 street‑light poles, 46 pedestrian poles, and 5 bollard lights) as well as any associated steel rail on the barrier. Bidders must be pre‑qualified with the Kansas Department of Transportation for painting structural steel (Work Type Q) and must purchase the plan/spec sets ($22 each) prior to bidding. The bid deadline is 2 p.m. CT on September 17, 2026, with public opening at the same time.
