Psychological Consulting Services

The City of Edinburg is soliciting the services of a licensed Psychologist to administer psychological evaluations for firefighters, police officers, and telecommunicators. The selected Psychologist will conduct psychological examinations for all entry-level candidates applying for these positions and provide a professional recommendation regarding the candidate's fitness for duty. The Psychologist must be licensed to practice in the State of Texas and maintain all required professional credentials throughout the term of the contract. • Conduct psychological examinations for all entry-level candidates for the positions of Police Officer, Firefighter, and Licensed Telecommunicator. • Evaluate each candidate's psychological suitability and stability to perform the duties required of a Police Officer, Firefighter, or Telecommunicator. • Provide a written professional recommendation regarding the candidate's fitness for duty. • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential records of all psychological examinations conducted. • Submit the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Form L-3 for Police Officer and Telecommunicator Operator candidates. • Submit the required psychological evaluation documentation for Firefighter candidates and other applicable personnel.
