Maintenance Agreement for a Joel Dart Mass Spectrometer

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a maintenance agreement for a Joel Dart Mass Spectrometer. The instrument is used for research efforts in forensic science and homeland security, and annual maintenance is required to avoid downtime and costly repairs. The NIST intends to negotiate with Jeol USA on a sole source basis, as they are the only known authorized source for maintenance and support. • The maintenance is for a Direct Analysis in Real Time (DART) system coupled to a JEOL JMS-T100LP ACCUTOF LC-PLUS Mass Spectrometer. • The instrument is used for the Rapid Drug Analysis and Research (RaDAR) program. • The maintenance will allow NIST to maintain the high level of sensitivity and repeatability needed for these types of measurements. • Interested parties who regard themselves as capable of fulfilling these requirements are invited to submit responses to the Government for consideration.
