Notice of Intent to Sole Source: DEOMI Cataloging & Metadata and Worldshare ILL Subscriptions

The Defense Human Resources Activity Acquisition Management Directorate (AMD) intends to perform a sole source award to OCLC, Inc. for Cataloging & Metadata and WorldShare ILL Subscriptions. The DEOMI utilizes OCLC's Cataloging & Metadata cloud-based subscription to streamline the library's cataloging process and reduce redundancies. WorldShare ILL is a cloud-based platform to manage workflows efficiently and improve access to collections and services. The estimated value of the contract is $10,000.00. • The contract is for a cloud-based library platform that provides metadata management and interlibrary loan services. • The platform is built upon OCLC's WorldCat database, the world's largest bibliographic database containing over 500 million records contributed by more than 16,000 member libraries in over 100 countries. • The contract is expected to be awarded to OCLC, Inc. due to their exclusive provision of the required services. • The DEOMI has been using OCLC subscriptions for more than 5 years.
