Analytical Laboratory Services

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is soliciting a contract laboratory to perform a comprehensive suite of water‑quality analytical services for its Water Quality Laboratory. The contractor must be ELAP‑certified, provide both standard and expedited turnaround analyses, supply sample bottles and ice chests, adhere to strict QA/QC protocols, and report results electronically via MWD’s LIMS. The contract is a one‑year base period with up to three additional one‑year renewal options, and pricing is firm‑fixed per analysis with optional priority‑surcharge calculations for rush work. • Perform EPA‑method and Standard Methods analyses on a wide range of inorganic, organic, radionuclide, and physical water‑quality parameters listed in Tables 1 and 2. • Meet standard turnaround (10–60 days) and expedited turnaround (24‑hr to 48‑hr) requirements, submit electronic data files using the 38‑field LIMS glossary, and notify MWD of any regulatory violations. • Maintain required insurance, ELAP accreditation, and provide free technical support; subcontracting only allowed with prior approval.
