Construction Services for Burrard Street Bridge Avian and Debris Netting P1 To P3

The City of Vancouver invites Tenders for construction services for the Burrard Bridge Avian and Debris Netting Installation between Piers P1 to P3. The work includes mobilization, traffic management, quality management, environmental protection, submission of shop drawings, construction of debris catchment netting and temporary bird spikes, construction of avian exclusion netting, coordination of access for inspections, and demobilization and cleanup. The project requires the contractor to engage one of the City's pre-qualified hazardous materials abatement contractors to perform abatement work if necessary. The contractor must also comply with the City's Supplier Code of Conduct and provide a certificate of insurance. Some key requirements for the project include: • IRATA Certification Level 3 is required for the Tenderer or their proposed subcontractor completing the rope access work • The contractor must list all subcontractors they intend to use in the performance of the Work and provide the requested information for each subcontractor • The contractor must submit a list of any suppliers and manufacturers they intend to use to supply specific products or items for the Work • The contractor must confirm that they have reviewed the Fair Wage conditions described in the ITT and will comply with the applicable requirements • The contractor must describe their hiring practices for industry/sector/trade apprenticeships and/or skills training • The contractor must describe any specific methods they use to improve diversity in hiring and create opportunities for under-represented populations in trades
