The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a compact mobile closed-cycle cryostat for combined optical spectroscopy and electrical measurements. The system must meet specific technical requirements, including a self-contained compact optical cryostat with integrated optical breadboard, a water-cooled compressor, and fully automated temperature control. The contractor must also provide installation, training, and warranty for the system. The delivery due date is 6 months after receipt of order, and installation and training must be completed within 30 days after delivery.
• The system must be compatible with an existing optical spectrometer system.
• The system must be able to be rolled by a single individual into and out of spectrometer location.
• The system must have a vacuum pump and all necessary accessories included.
• The system must have a fully automated temperature control system.
• The system must have a sample environment with cryogenic vacuum, space for a sample with a diameter of more than 70 mm, and easy access via removal of vacuum shroud.
• The system must have ultra-low vibrations at the cold plate, with a temperature range of less than 4 K to more than 300 K, and temperature stability of less than 20 mK.
• The system must have more than 30 electrical contacts into the sample area required.
• The system must have sample positioners with close loop piezo control of position for X and Y positioning of the sample beneath the objective.
