Description
The Jones County School District is seeking a qualified firm to provide services for a network upgrade project. The project includes the installation and configuration of new technology equipment, software, and services to improve the district's network access point (backbone) infrastructure. The project will be completed in three school buildings: North Jones Elementary School, Moselle Elementary School, and East Jones Elementary School. The district requires a "turnkey" solution for this project, including all necessary equipment, installation, and configuration. The proposed solution must integrate with the existing network environment and provide a modern, efficient, and reliable network to support bandwidth and data needs.
• The project includes the installation of single-mode fiber and CAT6 horizontal runs to designated endpoints/AP locations.
• The project requires the installation of new patch panels, jacks, and faceplates, as well as the dressing and securing of racks.
• The project includes the testing and certification of all new drops to standards and the provision of certification reports.
• The project requires coordination with the equipment vendor for network cutovers as needed.
