VISN 15 Bed/Mattress Rental

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide bed and mattress rental services for its VISN 15 VA Hospital Medical Centers. The contract will include the rental of inpatient beds, mattresses, and accessories for various units, including Spinal Cord Injury Units and Community Living Centers. The contractor will be responsible for delivery, set-up, maintenance, and pick-up of all items. Key features of the beds include electric adjustability, Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg positions, and pressure redistribution-type surfaces. The contractor must also provide operator training and maintenance records. Some key points to consider: • The contract will cover multiple facilities in Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri • The contractor must be able to deliver and set up beds within 4 hours, except for air fluidized therapy beds which require 24-hour sterilization • The contractor must provide maintenance and repair services, including 24/7 technical support • The contractor must provide education to staff on proper bed controls, operation, and safety measures • The contract will include a variety of bed types, including standard, bariatric, and critical care beds
