Description
The County is seeking a qualified HVAC contractor to replace two furnaces and two air‑conditioning units at Austin Straubel International Airport, install new ductwork, reconnect gas and venting, and commission the equipment. The work includes removal of existing units, supply and installation of new high‑efficiency furnaces (≥ 110,000 BTU) and comparable AC units, new supply/return trans‑lon ductwork, thermostat replacement, and coordination with airport maintenance. No bid bond is required due to the sub‑$25,000 contract value, and the award will go to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• Remove 2 existing furnaces and 2 AC units; retain a third furnace on‑site.
• Install 2 new furnaces (≥ 110,000 BTU, ≥ 90 % efficiency preferred) and 2 new AC condensers, re‑use existing disconnects.
• Provide new supply/return ductwork, connect gas line, perform startup, commissioning, and replace three thermostats.
• Contractor must hold a valid Wisconsin contractor’s license, carry $1M+ insurance, and handle all permits and utility locates.
