Drilling and Aquifer Testing for ASR Site Development

The University of Montana – Montana Technological University is soliciting bids for a qualified drilling contractor to install two wells near Wisdom, Montana. The project includes installing a pumping well and a shallower observation well. The wells will be used to conduct an aquifer test to evaluate the site for aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) operations. The contract term begins upon contract execution and will end December 31, 2026, with possible renewals. • The project requires the installation of two wells, a pumping well, and an observation well. • The wells will be completed in sand zones bounded by semi-lithified mudstone. • The drilling method will be dual rotary forward air drilling or a similar method that allows cuttings to travel from the bit to the surface with minimal contamination. • The contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the project. • The contractor must have experience in providing services similar to those requested in this IFB. • The University reserves the right to use any information or additional references deemed necessary to establish the ability of the bidder to perform the conditions of the contract.
