Providing technical support and capacity building for the Government of Mozambique and local organizations for life-saving HIV and TB and public health care services in the Republic of Mozambique

The Centers for Disease Control-GHC is seeking applications to provide technical assistance and capacity building for public health care services in the Republic of Mozambique under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The goal of this project is to build capacity and provide technical assistance for sustainable service delivery support of integrated HIV/AIDS and TB prevention, care, and treatment programs in Mozambique. This will include support to national-level activities, such as capacity building for technical, guideline, policy, training curricula development, and training of trainers, as well as specialized support to provincial-level directorates of health. • The project will focus on supporting the Ministry of Health in Mozambique to build its capacity for technical assistance and capacity building. • The project will also support the development of evidence-based innovative program interventions and best practices for improved program outcomes and efficiencies. • The project will provide specialized support to provincial-level directorates of health in response to specific and targeted technical assistance needs. • The project will be funded for approximately $15,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.
