LOI 26-098 Code Compliance Special Master and Alternate Special Master Services

The Citrus County, Florida, Code Compliance Division is seeking the services of two qualified attorneys to serve as the Special Master and an Alternate Special Master. The Special Master will perform the duties of hearing officer, hearing all cases assigned by Citrus County involving alleged violation of the various codes of Citrus County. The Special Master shall work with County staff and be prepared to issue findings of fact and conclusions of law consistent with the powers granted. The key responsibilities of the Special Master include: • Conducting hearings on alleged violations of the county codes • Imposing administrative fines and enforcement costs • Providing clerical assistance to the code compliance special master • Maintaining a drug-free workplace • Complying with all laws, rules, codes, ordinances, and licensing requirements The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience as a member in good standing of the Florida Bar, demonstrate adequate knowledge of the Citrus County Code and Chapter 162, Florida Statutes, and possess a reputation in the community for integrity, responsibility, and professional ability.
