3750--New Sweeper Lawn

The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for a supply contract for a new sweeper lawn. The contract will be for a self-contained three-wheel tricycle design sweeper with zero turn front wheel steering, two rear hydraulic drive wheels, and a rear mounted hydraulic high lift debris hopper. The sweeper must have a 48 in swath, terrain following design, and be supported by dual adjustable height caster wheels. The contract will require the supplier to provide maintenance and parts within 48 hours and 30 miles. The delivery location will be the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center in White City, OR. • The sweeper must have a hydraulic lift to dump height of 5 ft 10 in and hydraulic control of tailgate open/close to deposit debris into refuse containers, trailers, trucks, or ground dump sites. • The sweeper must have instrumentation, including an engine low oil pressure warning light, hour meter, and slope meter. • The sweeper must have safety features, including a roll over protection device (ROPS) with seat belts, a dash mounted slope meter, and an auto-deploy stabilizer pad for safe dumping of high lift debris hopper. • The sweeper must have a 18 hp gasoline engine and be made of orange and black materials.
