Budget estimate

$6,000,000 – $15,000,000

The budget for this contract is likely to be substantial, given the scope of services required. The contract will be for a period of 3 years with options for 2 additional 1-year extensions, and the contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical services to inmates at the Richmond City Justice Center. The average daily population of the center is approximately 1,032 inmates, and the contractor will need to provide skilled personnel, including primary care physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals, to meet the medical needs of the inmates. Based on industry benchmarks, the annual cost of providing medical services to inmates in a correctional facility can range from $2 million to $5 million or more, depending on the size of the facility and the scope of services required. Therefore, the total budget for this contract over the 3-year period could be in the range of $6 million to $15 million or more, depending on the specific services provided and the number of inmates served.
