FY26 CAIC_ ITN_Avalanche Information and Distribution system

The State of Colorado, Department of Natural Resources, is seeking a vendor to provide expert-level maintenance, operational support, and targeted enhancements for the Avalanche Information and Distribution system (AvID). The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring the platform remains stable, secure, and up-to-date with technological advancements. The scope of work includes hourly-based work with a variable workload, managed within an Agile framework, and authorized under specific Task Orders. The vendor will be required to provide on-call support for critical system failures, perform security updates and dependency management, and monitor system health and performance. Key features of the AvID system include: • SNOWPACK model advancement • Next-generation mobile application • Forecasting dashboards • Weather dashboard • Avalanche dashboard • Mobile native development The ideal vendor will have experience with Go (Golang), React, databases, AWS, API standards, version control, and domain expertise in scientific or geospatial data and avalanche forecasting concepts.
