Description

The City of Adelanto is seeking a qualified firm to deliver a complete turnkey solution for 26 solar‑powered smart lighting poles, each equipped with LED fixtures, energy‑storage batteries, surveillance cameras, and integrated control/sensor systems. The scope covers all phases—from design engineering, procurement of solar and lighting components, to full installation, programming, testing, and commissioning across city‑wide sites, including handling of varied desert terrain and site‑specific restoration work. The contract is fixed‑price, with no bond required, and the successful bidder will be responsible for network/Wi‑Fi infrastructure to support continuous camera operation and smart‑lighting controls.

Budget estimate

$2,000,000 – $5,000,000

The RFP does not disclose a contract ceiling. A comparable municipal solar‑lighting rollout for 20‑30 poles typically ranges from $2 million to $5 million, depending on component quality, site‑specific civil work, and integrated camera/network costs. Assuming mid‑range hardware ($1,500–$2,500 per pole) and professional services (design, engineering, project management) the total contract value is likely between $2 M and $5 M.
