Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the existing exhaust evacuation system (EES) at its District 32 Equipment Shop 6 in Fresno County. The contractor must remove and legally dispose of the old system, then supply, install, test, and commission a new EES that includes motorized reels, hoses, switches, a fan motor, ductwork, and associated electrical wiring. Work must comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and Cal‑OSHA regulations and be completed within 60 business days of receiving the Notice to Proceed.
• Removal, disposal, and replacement of the exhaust evacuation system with new mechanical and electrical components.
• Installation of HVAC‑type equipment (fan motor, reels, hoses, ductwork) and required electrical connections.
• Testing, commissioning, documentation, and warranty provision (1‑year labor, 2‑year equipment).
• Mandatory licensing (C‑20 HVAC contractor or equivalent) and DIR registration; optional site visit on March 24, 2026.
