Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive linen supply and laundry processing services for the Cincinnati VA Medical Center (CVAMC) and its associated outpatient and domiciliary locations. The contract requires the contractor to own and operate a laundry facility, handle pickup and delivery of soiled and clean linen, process a wide range of textile items (including specialty items such as scrubs, gowns, and hazardous‑drug‑contaminated linens), maintain on‑site and off‑site inventory (PAR) levels, and perform on‑site ScrubEx distribution three times per week. The effort spans a five‑year base period with four one‑year extensions, includes strict infection‑control, safety, and reporting requirements, and allows for a 20 % increase in contract value through modifications.
• Scope: Pickup, transport, wash, dry, finish, package, and deliver all linen and specialty textiles for CVAMC, Fort Thomas, Norwood CBOC, and other supported sites.
• On‑site duties: ScrubEx machine stocking/distribution (Mon, Wed, Fri, 8 AM‑4:30 PM EST) and in‑house support personnel.
• Performance period: 10/1/2026 – 3/31/2031 (5 years).
• Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, vehicles, chemicals, PPE, training, quality‑control program, and inventory management.
• Mandatory compliance with OSHA, CDC, JCAHO, VA directives, and VA infection‑control standards.
• Reporting: Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and as‑needed reports on weights, quality, incidents, and calibration.
• No separate CLIN for ScrubEx; cost must be baked into overall pricing.
