Local voice and data circuits for the White Sands Missile Range, NM.

The US Army is seeking a contractor to provide local voice and data circuits for the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The contractor will be responsible for providing all transmission facilities, equipment, materials, maintenance, test equipment, and design needed to perform and provide local access and transport services to designated demarcation points and destinations. The services required include local exchange access services, analog and digital access transport services, and inter/intra-Local Access Transport Area (LATA) interconnect functions. The contractor must also provide operator assistance, directory assistance, and emergency E911 services. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must provide local services for both subscriber lines and trunks within the local calling areas. • The local access service areas shall include Alamogordo, Socorro, Las Cruces, and the areas/zones currently defined by the local service provider and/or the State Public Utilities Commission (PUC) for New Mexico. • The contractor shall provide diversity for local communications services as required in Appendix 10. • The contractor shall provide a point of contact for the Government to report all service outages and shall respond to and correct service outages within specific time limits.
