Description

The District of Columbia is seeking providers to deliver FY26 occupational and ancillary healthcare services to its Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and Fire and Emergency Services Department (FEMS). The contract will cover a full range of health‑care services—including on‑site medical support, preventive health programs, and ancillary clinical functions—required to keep law‑enforcement and fire‑fighter personnel healthy and mission‑ready throughout the fiscal year. • Provide comprehensive occupational health examinations, immunizations, injury treatment, and return‑to‑work evaluations for MPD and FEMS staff. • Deliver ancillary services such as mental‑health counseling, health‑promotion education, and chronic‑disease management programs. • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local health‑care regulations and report metrics to the contracting agencies. • Support emergency response readiness by ensuring rapid medical response capability at fire stations and police precincts. • Manage all associated administrative tasks, record‑keeping, and billing in accordance with government contracting standards.

Budget estimate

$2,000,000 – $5,000,000

Based on typical municipal occupational health contracts for two major city agencies (police and fire), the annual spend is likely in the multi‑million‑dollar range. Assuming a per‑employee cost of $1,500–$2,500 for roughly 2,000 personnel, the total contract value would fall between $3 million and $5 million. Administrative overhead and ancillary program components could push the upper bound higher, while a leaner service scope could bring it closer to $2 million. Hence a reasonable estimate is $2 M–$5 M.
