Description
The USDA Forest Service is conducting market research to identify capable sources for repairing the existing SILVAH version 8 C++ code base and collaborating with scientific staff to develop a new SILVAH version 9 that incorporates selected features from versions 7 and 8. This RFI seeks vendor experience with forestry‑related C++ applications, staffing plans, SLA capabilities, prior contract awards, and small‑business status. Responses are due electronically by November 11, 2026.
• Repair and update existing C++ code for SILVAH version 8.
• Collaborate to create a new SILVAH version 9 with enhanced features.
• Provide capability statements, staffing plans, SLA details, and SBA certifications.
• No funding is offered; participation is voluntary and purely informational.
