Description
The Town of Coventry is seeking a qualified vendor to supply, install, and maintain a complete speed‑camera system for school zones. All hardware, software, installation, testing, training, and ongoing support must be provided by the vendor at no capital cost to the town, with the town retaining ownership of all enforcement data. The contract runs for an initial five‑year term with an optional five‑year renewal, and the town may terminate for convenience with 30‑day notice. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bid, subject to compliance with Rhode Island procurement statutes, insurance, prevailing‑wage, and minority‑business‑enterprise requirements.
• Provide full camera hardware, networking, software, and signage for all designated school zones.
• Perform installation, testing, training of town staff, and provide continuous maintenance and data‑management services for the contract duration.
• Meet Rhode Island cybersecurity, chain‑of‑custody, and public‑records requirements; retain necessary insurance and comply with prevailing‑wage and MBE participation rules.
• Submit sealed, in‑person bids (original + 3 copies + USB) by 9:00 a.m. on May 14 2026; questions due by May 6 2026.
