Drone as First Responder (DFR) Program

The County of Maui Police Department is seeking a qualified vendor to design, supply, install, integrate, train, and provide multi‑year support for a station‑based, autonomous Drone‑as‑First‑Responder (DFR) system. The solution must include docked launch stations, unmanned aircraft, software for autonomous dispatch, live video/telemetry streaming, and seamless integration with the department’s Motorola CommandCentral Aware platform. The contract will start with four docked stations in year 1 and may expand by four stations each subsequent year, up to twenty stations over a five‑year term (one base year plus four optional one‑year extensions). The vendor must handle FAA compliance, data security (CJIS), training for pilots and operators, 24/7 support, and equipment refresh.
