Description
The City of Sylvester is seeking bids for the construction of Water System Improvements Contract A: Meter Installation Services. The project involves the installation of water meters, backflow preventers, meter box replacements, and other requirements. The contract will have a duration of 240 days. The project is funded by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund administered by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Labor Standards, DBE Subcontract requirements, and the Build America Buy America Act.
• The project requires the installation of +/- 2,750 water meters sized ¾” and 1”, +/- 70 water meters (sized 1-1/2” and 2”, +/- 15 water meters sized 3” – 8”.
• The contractor must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a “Utility Contractor” and must also employ a “Utility Manager” certification holder.
• Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid.
• Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, shall be required of the successful bidder if the contract is awarded.
