Description
The Newark Board of Education seeks a single qualified contractor to provide ongoing repair, preventive maintenance, and new‑installation services for clocks, public‑address (PA) and intercom systems across its school facilities. Work will be on an as‑needed basis under a two‑year contract with an optional two‑year extension, performed during normal school hours. The contractor must be an authorized service provider for listed equipment manufacturers, use directly employed staff (or properly registered subcontractors), maintain detailed service logs, submit monthly Excel reports, and comply with New Jersey prevailing‑wage, insurance, background‑check, and data‑privacy requirements. Bids are submitted electronically; a pre‑submission Webex meeting is scheduled, and questions are due the same day.
• Provide repair, preventive maintenance, and new installations for clocks, PA, and intercom equipment in NBOE schools.
• Must use OEM parts (or licensed reps) and can mark‑up parts per bid; major component replacements > $1,000 require director approval.
• Contractor responsible for 24‑hour emergency call‑back response, 90‑day warranty, bi‑weekly invoicing, and monthly work‑summary reporting.
