Description
The City of Hampton is seeking bids from qualified bidders to furnish and apply engineered wood fiber playground mulch at school and park sites and walnut dyed hardwood mulch at various plant bed areas throughout the city. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, tools, material, equipment, and supplies to perform the services to the highest standards in the landscaping industry. The estimated annual needs for engineered wood fiber playground mulch are 2500 cubic yards, and for walnut dyed hardwood mulch are 1200 cubic yards.
• The contractor must submit a copy of their business and contractor's license with the bid.
• The contractor must provide references illustrating their experience for the previous five years.
• The contractor must inform itself fully of the conditions related to the services required.
• The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, material, equipment, and supplies in order to perform services to the highest standards in the landscaping industry.
• The contractor shall provide all necessary signs, sign stands, and traffic control.
• Mulching shall only take place when weather conditions permit.
