Description
The Army and Air Force Exchange Service (The Exchange) is seeking a qualified systems furniture manufacturer/dealer to develop, furnish, and install modular workstations based on conceptual layout drawings at their headquarters in Dallas, TX. The project involves demolition and removal of existing systems furniture, reuse and reinstallation of salvaged components, and installation of approximately 600 powered workstations. The vendor must provide detailed shop drawings, engineering and design solutions, and ensure that all work meets safety, electrical, and performance standards.
• The project includes demolition and removal of existing systems furniture in Area 2N.
• The vendor must coordinate with Exchange internal Facilities personnel regarding salvage operations.
• The vendor must provide responsible recycling/disposal of remaining materials and documentation of recycled materials.
• The vendor must provide credit back to AAFES for any recoverable/recyclable material value.
• The vendor must integrate reused components into the new build-out in Area 1N as directed.
• The vendor must ensure that all reused components meet safety, electrical, and performance standards.
