Notice of Intent to Sole Source, Rapiscan X-Ray Inspection Systems, Maintenance and Repair

The Marine Corps Installations - National Capital Region (MCI-NCR) is seeking to award a purchase order to Rapiscan Systems, Inc. for the maintenance and repair of Rapiscan X-Ray Inspection Systems. The contract will be for a period of 5 years, with a base year and four one-year option periods. The work will involve preventative maintenance and repairs to the existing Rapiscan 620XR X-Ray Systems. • The contract is for the maintenance and repair of X-Ray systems at the National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC). • The X-Ray systems are proprietary to Rapiscan Systems, Inc. and only Rapiscan Field Service Engineers are allowed to service and maintain them. • The estimated value of the contract is $69,642.00. • The Government is seeking capability statements from responsible sources, which will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
