Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an SDVOSB to provide comprehensive elevator inspection, testing, and certification services at its San Diego Healthcare System. The contractor must perform semi‑annual inspections, annual/CAT‑1 inspections, and five‑year/CAT‑5 load tests on all government‑owned vertical transportation units (VTUs), supply all labor, equipment, PPE, and reporting, and adhere to extensive ASME, NFPA, OSHA, and VA safety standards.
• Scope covers 34 elevators, dumbwaiters, wheelchair lifts and cart lifts across multiple buildings (Bldg 1, 11, 26, 27, 28, 31, 32).
• Requires current ASME QEI‑1 certification for technicians, asbestos certification for work in designated areas, and strict reporting within 10 business days per unit.
• Contract is firm‑fixed‑price, one base year with four optional extensions (up to five years total), and limited to Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Businesses.
