Notice of Intent to Award - MOBILE DENTAL VAN HVAC UPGRADE

The Indian Health Service, Navajo Area, Crownpoint Service Unit intends to restrict competition and negotiate an award with Thermo King West, Inc. to upgrade a mobile van with a vehicle-integrated HVAC system. The system will maintain environmental conditions suitable for safely and efficiently transporting sterilized dental instruments between the Crownpoint Service Unit and its satellite dental clinics. The projected period of performance is one year from the date of award. The Crownpoint Service Unit currently uses a loaned van from the Shiprock Service Unit, but it must be returned soon. The van requires a climate-controlled cargo area to maintain the integrity of sterilized dental instrument packages during daily transport. • The mobile van needs a vehicle-integrated HVAC system to maintain environmental conditions. • The system must be capable of maintaining a climate-controlled cargo area. • The van will be used to transport sterilized dental instruments between the Crownpoint Service Unit and its satellite dental clinics. • The current loaned van must be returned to the Shiprock Service Unit soon. • The Crownpoint Service Unit requires a modified transport van with a climate-controlled cargo area to maintain the integrity of sterilized dental instrument packages.
