The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is seeking proposals from firms or teams of firms experienced in providing digital and/or app-based geographic and road safety information, including conducting planning and outreach, evaluation and data analysis, with experience in the field of school-based transportation, or similar/related fields, for metropolitan areas comparable to the 20-county area of Metro Atlanta. The project aims to improve roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian safety for youth and families by conducting supplemental planning, implementing school-based demonstration activities, and supporting safety infrastructure improvements in three high-need jurisdictions: Clayton County, Spalding County, and the City of Brookhaven. The selected consultant will work with ARC to design, develop, deliver, evaluate, and report on one supplemental planning activity across the three metro Atlanta communities as part of the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program.
Some key responsibilities of the consultant include:
* Planning and conducting outreach for family-based bike safety audits
* Collecting and evaluating technology audit data
* Providing monthly reports on project performance, schedule, and budget
* Maintaining all documentation, including emails, cost records, procurement documentation, invoices, and audit trails
* Participating in regular coordination meetings with ARC and other project partners
* Monitoring project performance, schedule, and budget, and providing monthly reporting updates to ARC
The project is expected to last 20 months, with a total budget of $180,000. The consultant will be required to submit monthly progress reports, quarterly programmatic and budget reports, and a final comprehensive report with findings, summaries, and recommendations.
