Description
This Invitation to Bid (ITB) seeks a qualified provider to deliver pre‑hospital emergency medical services (EMS) for all 911 medical calls located outside the city limits of Montgomery, Alabama. The contractor must staff ambulances with EMT‑III (paramedic) and EMT‑II personnel, maintain 1‑3 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances 24/7, operate a county‑wide 24/7 dispatch center, and meet extensive licensing, insurance, bonding, and performance requirements. The contract is for an initial one‑year term with an option to renew for a second year, and the award will be based on the lowest responsible bid after evaluating technical compliance and M/WBE participation.
• Provide ALS and BLS ambulance services, staffing each ambulance with at least two licensed EMTs (one must be a paramedic).
• Maintain 1‑3 dedicated ALS ambulances stationed at volunteer fire departments; service area options include several unincorporated zones.
• Submit sealed price quotations (no faxed bids) by July 24, 2024 10:00 a.m. CST; questions due by July 9, 2024 10:00 a.m.
• Meet insurance (minimum $1 M per coverage, $3 M umbrella), performance bond, E‑Verify, and ≥30 % M/WBE participation requirements.
