The University of Maryland is conducting a Request for Proposal (RFP) on behalf of the Maryland Education Enterprise Consortium (MEEC) to select multiple firms capable of providing computer hardware and related services for MEEC partner institutions, including the University System of Maryland. The selected contractors will serve as the interface between the MEEC community and their awarded manufacturer with all aspects of the contract. The scope of work includes providing computer hardware and related services, such as desktop computers, data storage devices, server class hardware, network hardware, and computer hardware peripherals. The contract will be for a term of 3 years and 2.5 months, with the option to renew for two additional three-year terms.
Key points to consider:
• The contract will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, with no guarantee of a specific volume of purchases or dollar commitment.
• The contractors will be required to provide price quotes, including discounts, to all participating MEEC institutions.
• The contract will include provisions for financing and leasing of hardware purchases.
• The contractors will be required to provide integrated computing solutions that cross or blend the definitions of individual categories to provide an integrated system.
• The contract will include provisions for contract modifications and amendments, including the addition of new brands and products.
