Description

The City of Las Cruces is seeking a qualified firm to perform an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility assessment of its public facilities. The selected consultant will evaluate the facilities using the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design and applicable access-related state, federal, and local standards. The assessment will include a review of parking, entrances, doors, stairs, elevators, and other areas to identify non-compliant elements and provide recommendations for remediation. The consultant will also prepare a facility report for each facility, including a listing of non-compliant elements, solutions to address each finding, and a photolog summary. The project is expected to last six months. • The consultant will maintain project records, budgets, and communications for the duration of the project. • The consultant will prepare monthly progress reports and meet with City staff to orient them to the project. • The consultant will coordinate with City staff to identify and obtain all necessary access, documents, and materials to support the Self-Evaluation process. • The consultant will provide a draft report, based on the Self-Evaluation, and address comments from City Staff to prepare a Final Document Set for the City.
