Description
The Montcalm Area Intermediate School District is seeking bids for the replacement of an HVAC rooftop unit at the Montcalm Area Career Center. The project involves a direct like-for-like replacement of the existing unit with a new one, including a custom curb adapter. The contractor will be responsible for all sub-contract work, including electrical, temperature controls, roofing, and crane lifts. The project is expected to be delivered as a single contract between the owner and the mechanical prime contractor.
• The existing unit is a nominal 50-ton packaged DX cooling capacity with an internal hot water heating coil and coil pump.
• The project scope includes removing the existing RTU and curb adapter and replacing them with new ones.
• The work is to be conducted above the roof level with no modifications to the existing supply and return duct drops or distribution ductwork inside the building.
• The bid documents can be obtained from the owner's Director of Facilities, and bids are due by February 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM local time.
