Land X-Ray Fluorescence and Accessories

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking bids for the provision of a handheld X-ray fluorescence analyzer (XRF) with USB and WiFi connectivity, along with accessories such as a desktop stand kit and a common instrument holder. The analyzer will be used for screening unknown environmental solid media and requires calibrations relevant to the use case, including "Alloys", "Soil", "Mining", and "Restricted Materials". The bid includes the provision of the XRF analyzer and accessories, and the successful bidder will be required to provide the equipment and ensure its compatibility with the selected XRF unit. • The XRF analyzer must have a large area (40mm2 +) Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) and an IP54 rating or higher. • The analyzer must be able to detect elements from Magnesium to Uranium and have automatic beam filter(s) and a 50 kV X-Ray Tube or higher. • The desktop stand kit must be able to hold the device and allow for hands-free operation, and must be compatible with the selected XRF unit. • The common instrument holder must be a bipod device that allows the instrument to rest in place during analysis, and must be compatible with the selected XRF unit.
