Vehicle Transmission Rebuild and Replacement Services

The City of Pasadena is seeking a qualified vendor to provide vehicle transmission rebuild, overhaul, replacement, and related drivetrain services for City-owned light and medium-duty vehicles. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, starting from July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2027. The vendor will be required to provide all labor, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the services, including transmission removal and installation, automatic and manual transmission rebuilds and overhauls, and replacement of failed transmissions. The vendor will also be required to provide a warranty for the services provided. • The City owns approximately 1,100 vehicles and equipment units in its fleet, which periodically require transmission rebuilds, overhauls, and replacements. • The vendor will be required to respond to service requests within 24 to 72 hours of notification and coordinate scheduling with the City. • The vendor will be required to provide pickup and delivery of vehicles to and from the City's designated location. • The vendor will be required to comply with the City's ordinances and regulations regarding equal employment opportunity and provide documentation to evidence compliance. • The vendor will be required to provide proof of insurance and adhere to the City's insurance requirements.
