The State of North Carolina is seeking a qualified vendor to provide Type 1 fire‑suppression helicopter services for the North Carolina Forest Service. The contractor must supply a twin‑turbine, heavy‑lift helicopter equipped with a minimum 2,600‑gallon water drop system, capable of lifting at least 23,400 lb at 6,000 ft MSL, and meet NWCG PMS 510 operational standards. Services include daily availability (8 hours per day, 7 days per week), standby readiness, flight‑hour compensation, and mobilization/demobilization for three peak fire‑season months (November, March, April). The contract is a one‑year base term with two optional one‑year renewals, and the vendor must maintain a North Carolina vendor registration and comply with E‑Verify, insurance, and safety requirements.
